The Nigeria Trade office in Taipei was established in November 1992, consequent to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Governments of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Taipei. The Memorandum provided for the reciprocal establishment of Trade Offices for the purpose of promoting trade, investment and other economic relations between the two. The Nigeria Trade office in Taiwan commenced operations in Taipei in November 1992, two years after the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MOU).

I am RELICX T. SHIOLBAN who was appointed into the position of Deputy Trade Commissioner of Nigeria Trade Office in Taipei in June 2024. The purpose of my role is to strengthen Nigeria-Taiwan economic relations, including trade, investment, and other forms of economic cooperation.
